Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

The Archive Lounge, operated by ARCHIVE LOUNGE LLC (“The Archive Lounge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates this website and is located at 500 Main St, Lower Level, St. Joseph, MI 49085. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using our website or providing us your information, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to respond to you and operate our business:

  • Information you give us. Your name, email address, telephone/mobile number, preferred event date, estimated guest count, event type, and any message or details you submit through our private event inquiry form, by email, by text message, or by phone.
  • Automatically collected information. Standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring page, collected through server logs and standard analytics.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21 years of age. We do not collect or store payment card information through this website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your private event inquiries, questions, and requests
  • Send you appointment, reservation, and event-related confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups
  • Send you customer care and account-related messages you have asked for
  • Send promotional or informational messages about The Archive Lounge, only where you have given us consent to do so
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms

3. SMS / Text Messaging Program & Consent

This section describes how The Archive Lounge handles mobile telephone numbers and text (SMS/MMS) messaging.

No sharing of mobile opt-in data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services (such as our messaging platform and carriers) who act solely on our behalf to deliver the messages you requested.

How you give consent

We send text messages only to individuals who have given prior express written consent. You may provide consent by checking the SMS consent box on our website inquiry form, by submitting a form that clearly discloses the messaging program, by providing your mobile number to our staff in person or by phone and agreeing to receive texts, or by texting us first. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving any service from us.

Types of messages

  • Conversational: replies to your questions and event inquiries
  • Transactional: private event confirmations, scheduling, reminders, and updates
  • Promotional: news, offers, and events — sent only with your express consent

Message frequency, cost, and support

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out or get help

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will send a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will send no further messages. To rejoin, sign up again as you did originally. For help, reply HELP or contact us at (269) 767-9255 or info@thelibraryhistorichotel.com.

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply HELP for more assistance, or get help directly at the email or phone number above.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors who perform services for us — such as website hosting, email delivery, our customer relationship management (CRM) and messaging platform, and telecommunications carriers — strictly to provide services we have requested on our behalf. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, staff, or business.
  • Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in how your information is handled.

As stated in Section 3, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies; some parts of the site may not function properly if you do. We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information.

6. Data Retention & Security

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, and we use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by replying STOP to a text message, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us directly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Third-Party Links

Our website links to other sites, including The Library Historic Hotel. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site, and we encourage you to read their policies.
